My name is Kristin Stoops, and I am proud to be a Golden Bear! I've been teaching health and PE since 2003. In Ann Arbor, I have worked as a Librarian/Media Specialist and PE teacher at both Haisley and Slauson. I earned my bachelor's degree in physical education and health from the University of Michigan in 2002. In 2008, I earned my master's degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University, with a school library/media teaching endorsement. I love working with middle schoolers here at Slauson.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and keeping fit and active. I have completed several sprint distance triathlons, several 5K, one 10K, as well as one half-marathon.  :)

My main professional goal is to inspire and teach students how to be active and fit for their lifetime. I want students to feel comfortable, happy, and safe trying new things, having fun, learning, and moving during our classtime.
